Permanent Makeup

What is permanent makeup? Permanent makeup (also known as PMU or cosmetic tattooing) is a treatment that uses specialist pigments to enhance your natural features. It can create beautifully defined eyebrows, naturally tinted lips and subtle eyeliner that lasts for years. At Lady MakeUp, every treatment is tailored to your individual features, creating soft, natural-looking results that save you time in your daily routine.

How long does permanent makeup last? Most permanent makeup treatments last between 1 and 5 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure and skincare routine. Over time the pigment gradually fades, allowing your look to stay soft and natural. We recommend regular colour boost appointments to keep your permanent makeup looking fresh.

Does permanent makeup hurt? Most clients are pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the treatment is. We apply a topical numbing cream before and during the procedure to minimise discomfort. Everyone's pain tolerance is different, but most people describe the sensation as mild scratching or vibration rather than pain.

What is the difference between powder brows and microblading? Powder brows create a soft, shaded makeup effect using a digital machine, while microblading uses tiny hair-like strokes made with a handheld blade. Powder brows generally suit more skin types, tend to heal more evenly and often last longer. During your consultation, we'll recommend the most suitable technique for your skin and desired look.

How long do powder brows take to heal? Initial healing usually takes around 7–14 days. During this time, the colour will appear darker before softening as your skin heals. Full healing takes approximately 4–6 weeks, after which you'll attend your perfecting appointment if required.

What is lip blush, and will it make my lips look bigger? Lip blush is a cosmetic tattoo treatment that enhances the natural colour and definition of your lips. While it doesn't physically increase lip size, carefully placed pigment can improve symmetry and create the illusion of fuller, healthier-looking lips.

How long does lip blush last? Lip blush typically lasts between 2 and 3 years. Lifestyle, skin type and sun exposure all affect how quickly the pigment fades. Regular colour boosts help maintain the vibrancy of your chosen shade.

Is permanent eyeliner safe? Yes. Permanent eyeliner is a safe treatment when carried out by a trained and experienced practitioner using high-quality pigments and sterile equipment. Your safety and comfort are always our priority, and we'll discuss your medical history during your consultation to ensure the treatment is suitable for you.

How many appointments will I need? Most permanent makeup treatments require two appointments. Your initial appointment creates the shape and colour, while a perfecting session around 6–8 weeks later allows us to refine the healed results and ensure the best possible outcome.

Can permanent makeup be corrected or removed? Yes. Depending on your existing permanent makeup, it may be possible to refresh, correct or safely remove unwanted pigment using specialist saline tattoo removal techniques. We'll assess your existing tattoo during your consultation and recommend the most appropriate treatment.

Aesthetics

What aesthetic treatments do you offer? Alongside permanent makeup, we offer a range of professional aesthetic treatments designed to refresh and rejuvenate your appearance. These may include anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers, skin rejuvenation and microneedling. Every treatment begins with a consultation to ensure we recommend the most suitable option for your goals.

Which anti-wrinkle treatment is best for me? The best treatment depends on your concerns, facial anatomy and desired results. During your consultation, we'll assess your skin and discuss your goals before recommending a personalised treatment plan that enhances your natural features while maintaining facial expression.

What are dermal fillers used for? Dermal fillers can restore lost volume, soften lines, improve facial contours and enhance features such as the lips, cheeks and chin. Our approach is always focused on achieving balanced, natural-looking results rather than an overfilled appearance.

How long do fillers last? Most dermal fillers last between 6 and 18 months, depending on the treatment area, the type of filler used and your body's natural metabolism. We'll explain what you can expect during your consultation.

Do anti-wrinkle injections hurt? The treatment involves very small injections and is usually well tolerated. Most clients describe the sensation as a quick pinprick that lasts only a few seconds.

Will I still look natural after aesthetic treatments? Absolutely. Our philosophy is to enhance your natural beauty, not change the way you look. Every treatment is carefully planned to achieve subtle, refreshed results that leave you looking like yourself—just more confident.

Is there any downtime after aesthetic treatments? Most aesthetic treatments involve little to no downtime. You may experience mild redness, swelling or bruising, but this usually settles within a few days. We'll provide personalised aftercare advice before you leave the clinic.

Can I have anti-wrinkle injections and fillers at the same appointment? In many cases, yes. Following your consultation, we'll advise whether combining treatments is appropriate and create a treatment plan that's safe and tailored to your needs.

When will I see results from anti-wrinkle treatments? Results usually begin to appear within 3–5 days, with the full effect visible after around two weeks.

How often do I need maintenance treatments? This varies depending on the treatment and your individual response. Many clients choose maintenance appointments every 3–6 months for anti-wrinkle treatments and every 6–18 months for dermal fillers.

Microneedling

What is microneedling? Microneedling is a skin rejuvenation treatment that stimulates your body's natural collagen production. It can improve fine lines, acne scarring, enlarged pores, pigmentation and overall skin texture, leaving your complexion smoother and more radiant.

What skin concerns can microneedling improve? Microneedling is suitable for treating fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, pigmentation and dull skin. It's an excellent option for clients looking to improve overall skin quality naturally.

How many microneedling sessions will I need? While many clients notice an improvement after one treatment, we usually recommend a course of three to six sessions for the best long-term results.

s microneedling painful? You can apply a numbing cream before treatment to keep you comfortable. Most clients describe the treatment as mildly uncomfortable rather than painful.

How long does skin take to heal after microneedling? Your skin may appear pink or slightly flushed for 24–48 hours after treatment. Most clients return to normal daily activities the following day.
